The Somali cat or it is simple Somali is the long-haired cat who has occurred from Abyssinian. Somalia - well-known breed which enjoy the big popularity all over the world. It means that the short wool at Abyssinian dominates.
Abyssinians with long wool were considered as the rare copies, in the beginning of XX century of them rejected. The manufacturers giving long-haired kittens, excluded from breeding work. However in 1967 the Somali cat, at last, has been officially recognized in the USA and in Canada as independent breed.
